Owner & Doctor of Optometry
Dr. D'aun Hajdu is the founder and owner of Aspen Valley Eye Care and has called the Roaring Fork Valley home for nearly three decades. Originally from Montana, she earned her undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from Montana State University, Billings, before moving to Aspen where she began her career in the optometric field as a technician and optician.
Driven by a lifelong passion for eye care, Dr. Hajdu earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida — graduating with honors at the top of her class. She was active in Beta Sigma Kappa, the Student Government Association, and the Golden Key Honor Society, and completed her externship with the prestigious Aker Kasten Eye Center in South Florida.
Prior to founding Aspen Valley Eye Care, Dr. Hajdu was a key member of a large group medical practice in Florida, where she gained extensive experience in ocular disease management, cataract co-management, specialty contact lens fitting, and dry eye treatment. She earned a reputation as a physician who placed her patients above all else — often going well beyond the expected to ensure their care.
Dr. Hajdu founded Aspen Valley Eye Care and partnered with Barton Perreira Optical in the summer of 2014. She is passionate about delivering the most thorough and exceptional eye care to patients of all ages throughout the Aspen Valley.
Outside the office, Dr. Hajdu is an enthusiastic skier, hiker, golfer, cyclist, and camper who loves giving back to the local community.
Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Jennifer Windler grew up in Massachusetts, where she developed an early passion for healthcare and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2018, then began working as an optometric technician — an experience that ignited her enthusiasm for optometry and set her on the path to becoming a doctor.
After time spent in Colorado Springs — where she developed a love for the state's outdoor lifestyle and natural beauty — Dr. Windler returned to Boston to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry. She was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society and graduated at the top of her class.
Following graduation, Dr. Windler completed a residency in primary care and ocular disease at the VA Boston Healthcare System, where she refined her clinical skills and gained extensive hands-on experience managing a wide range of ocular conditions.
Dr. Windler is thrilled to call the Roaring Fork Valley home. Outside the office, she enjoys hiking, cooking, playing games, and spending time with friends, family, and her German Shepherd, Bruce.
