A comprehensive eye exam is the foundation of lasting eye health — and it goes far beyond simply updating your prescription. Our doctors conduct a thorough evaluation of your visual acuity, eye coordination, peripheral vision, and intraocular pressure, as well as a detailed assessment of the internal and external structures of the eye.
Regular exams allow us to detect early signs of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy — often before symptoms appear. Because the eyes can reflect the state of your overall health, a comprehensive exam may also reveal systemic conditions including hypertension and diabetes.
We recommend annual exams for all patients, regardless of age or current vision status.

For LASIK candidates, Dr. Hajdu performs a thorough refractive and ocular health evaluation to determine your suitability for surgery. She works closely with Dr. John Dishler of the Dishler Laser Institute in Denver — one of Colorado's most respected refractive surgeons — and personally underwent LASIK with Dr. Dishler in 2000.
For cataract patients, Dr. Hajdu draws on extensive co-management experience gained working alongside leading cataract surgeons in Florida.
